Tip: From the beginning of January, the Hochalmbahn starts already from 8.00 a.m.
From Haus Alexander along the edge of the ski slope past an old stable building towards the middle station. Below the Sonnhof Alpenoase, turn right to a barn above the valley station of the Hochalm 6er. Cross the slope here and continue straight ahead somewhat steeper on the right edge of the ski slope to the junction above the Hinterreichkendlhütte, which is not managed.
Now you can see two alpine huts on the right side, from where you continue over open terrain to the Hochalmspitze (1921 m) .
Depending on ability, the descent can be chosen over the ski slope or also over open terrain.
Although this is a relatively safe tour, it still requires the necessary equipment and experience for ski touring.
Ascent: approx. 2 hrs | 780 hm
From the house Alexander first to the main road, here over the bridge and on the promenade to Hinterglemm.
From the center of the village with the Reiterkogelbahn to the middle station. Get off at the top on the left and past the Wieseralm along the winter hiking trail to the cozy Rosswaldhütte.
For the descent to the valley you have to plan about 1 hour and then another ½ hour back to the house Alexander.
For those in good shape, this hike is also recommended in the opposite direction.
This tour is especially recommended in good weather , because you are almost continuously in the sun.
11 km| Ascent 124 hm | Descent 543 hm | 2,30 h
